Wi-Fi Problems? Chromecast, Google Home May Be The Cause

Google says it is aware of the complaints and promised a fix as soon as possible

Google Home and Chromecast devices are reportedly killing peoples' Wi-Fi. A Google spokesperson told, "We're aware that a small number of users are having issues, and our team is working quickly to share a solution".

Users reported that the Home Max is facing an issue when it is connected to the Wi-Fi network. During December of previous year there were a number of different complaints on the forums of a number of different router manufacturers, covering nearly the full range of Google's offerings.

The networking anomaly chiefly involved the TP-Link Archer C7 router, and it appeared that the Home Max had encountered issues with the hardware's firmware. According to 9to5Google the problems are affecting different routers differently, so it may not be causing a total outage. Also mentioned is that this Google Chromecast and Home connectivity issue varies from router to router, leaving some of them completely inoperable. The longer a Cast device has been in "sleep" mode, the more information it might send at once.

Don't get too excited for Netflix on Nintendo Switch
Through a Twitter account for the emulator, named Yuzu , the hackers revealed that the software was already in development. More than any other Nintendo console in recent years, the Switch has a reasonably wide range of games to play.

Since the initial report a few days ago, TP-Link has issued a beta firmware update for the Archer C7 that should solve the issue but unfortunately, it doesn't end there.

The issue seems to be negatively impacting other routers aside from those manufactured by TP-Link. The company said a glitch caused a WiFi network to become temporarily unresponsive or disconnect from other devices that were connected to the network.

Essentially the Google devices are waking up from sleep and then sending way too much data at once to the routers, causing them to crash. This occurs when the device is awakened from the "sleep mode", and could exceed more than 100,000 packets in a short amount of time.

Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has promised to crush the gang , which is blamed for dozens of macabre killings around the USA . They fled El Salvador right after a bloody civil war followed by a devastating 2001 natural disaster that ravaged the country.

The latest network issue appears to have a large impact. The only way to fix it is by rebooting the Wi-Fi router. Alternately, users can try disabling the Cast feature on their Android device to help mitigate the issue until a permanent fix is in place. Even if it doesn't fully fix the issue, it's best to keep the router up to date and patched regardless.

To make sure there's a live connection between your smartphone and Google products (like a Chromecast), internet packets are sent across roughly every 20 seconds.
