Education cap issue: Army evolving better system, says Rawat

General Bipin Rawat

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Friday said that the threat of CBRN (Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) weapons are becoming a reality. Terrorists are a disposable commodity in Pakistan and the Indian Army approach has been to ensure that it feels the pain, he said.

Expressing confidence in India's capability of handling an increasingly assertive China, the general said: "For too long we kept our focus on the western front". If we will have to really confront the Pakistanis, and a task is given to us and the country gives us a task, we are not going to say that we can not cross the border because they have nuclear weapons.

"We need modern weapons and technology".

Mark Zuckerberg changes Facebook's focus to be more 'meaningful'
Facebook has said before that it will emphasize personal connections over business pages and celebrities that people follow. Zuckerberg has been laying the groundwork for making that fundamental shift in all of Facebook's products.

Gen. Rawat said the army was working on a plan to open two schools, and once they are operational, instead of granting financial aid, children of martyrs and physically disabled soldiers who are eligible for the help will be given admission in these schools. "We will defend it which is our charter", General Rawat said.

However, Rawat admitted that the Chinese troop strength in Doklam had gone down recently.

"The other issue is that of madrassas and masjids... what is being informed to them or incorrectly informed to them is through these madrassas and masjids. some kind of control is to be exercised there and that is what we are looking at".

Gerrit Cole reportedly not traded to Astros: 'False rumor'
He finished with a 2.60 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 202 strikeouts in 32 starts and 208 innings, all of which were career bests. Jon Morosi of MLB Network reported the deal shortly after first noting a trade was a "imminent".

Stating that "terrorism in J&K is not over", Gen Rawat said the Army will shift its focus to north Kashmir this year, after having focused on south Kashmir last year.

Referring to the United States warnings to Pakistan over its handling of terrorism, he said India will have to wait and see its impact. On December 28, Indian troops foiled attempts by Chinese road building teams to construct a track around 1 km inside the Indian territory in Tuting, government sources had said.

Speaking about cyber security, he said that the Army was concerned about cyber and information warfare and stressed on the need for the security establishment to have good firewalls and systems in place. "It is too premature to say that everything is now going to be in our favour and U.S. will do our job", he said. "We have to look at what we require to fight the future wars", he said.

Cleveland Browns officially announce front office additions of Eliot Wolf, Alonzo Highsmith
Wolf will serve as the team's assistant general manager, while Highsmith has been named the vice president of player personnel. He's been a big reason for the consistent success the Packers have experienced over the last decade.
