Funding for sports programs at question in new tax bill

College athletic programs could lose millions to House’s tax bill

If the Senate does not pass a bill, the current tax code applies. The elimination of some deductions is needed, while curtailing or ending many others can be argued convincingly.

The statement from Rogers added that the bill is expected to create almost 13,000 new jobs for Kentuckians.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act includes several pieces of legislation previously introduced by Sen.

"Finally, the days of complicated itemized tax returns will be a thing of the past".

It reported that Congress' Joint Committee on Taxation estimated the Senate plan would mean higher taxes for families earning under $30,000 annually.

"Over 90% of American families will actually be able to do their taxes on a post card".

"Families that are struggling to make ends meet will see more cash in their pockets to help with everyday expenses", said Collins.
