Aaron Judge breaks Major League Baseball rookie home run record with 50th of season

Yankees Aaron Judge ties Mark McGwire with 49th HR as rookie

Embarrassed by the attention, he managed four short waves with his right hand before heading back to the bench just three seconds later. "You got to go out there, '" he would later recall. Judge is the first rookie in Major League Baseball history to hit the 50-home run mark in a year where he has proven all of his doubters wrong.

He was hitting.329 with 30 homers and 66 RBIs when he won the All-Star Home Run Derby.

Judge has heated up lately after enduring a mostly hard second half.

Judge is also the fifth Yankee to bash 50 home runs in a season, joining Babe Ruth (four times), Mickey Mantle (twice), Roger Maris (1961) and Alex Rodriguez (2007).

Uber Getting Kicked Out of London for Public Safety Issues
On Sept. 22, TfL chose to let Uber's contract expire , giving the company 21 days-until October 13-to appeal the decision. If you're freaking out that you've only got a few days left to grab an Uber home - don't worry.

"When he was going through his struggles, he continued to walk", Girardi said. The first home run came off of Jake Junis who lasted 5.2 innings giving up 6 runs on 7 hits.

There's even talk that with his sizzling September that Judge will acutely challenge Houston's Jose Altuve for AL MVP honors. Solid pitching from CC Sabathia also helped with the victory.

Judge connected on a two-run shot to right field in the third to tie the record at 49 dingers. "And if you don't he's going to take advantage of it like he did". "It's baseball. Keep doing your thing, '" he remembered, speaking after the game in a pinstriped thumbs-down T-shirt. "What he's done, 50 home runs, carrying this team to the playoffs, we can honestly say we're in this spot because of him". It's nearly like he's a big brother. Addison Russell hit a three-run double in the first, then dived into the stands chasing a ball and spilling a tray of chips held by a fan.

But Judge's 50th homer of the year in the seventh was immediately followed by Gary Sanchez's 33rd homer of the year.
