Seismic activity detected near North Korean nuclear site

Russia tells North Korea U.S.'hot heads to calm downMore

"The Moon Jae-in government should stop begging for dialogue with North Korea at a time when South Korea's 50 million people are held hostage by the North's nuclear threat", Kim Jung-jae, another LKP spokesperson, said in a commentary.

The CENC says the quake was likely caused by an artificial explosion, as it took place in the same location where North Korea's sixth nuclear test occurred, Beijing's Xinhua News Agency reported.

In a statement on its website, China's natural disaster administration said the quake was recorded at a depth of zero kilometers and described it as a "suspected explosion".

If it is a nuclear test, the low magnitude of the quake event suggests a much smaller yield compared to the September 3 hydrogen bomb test, which triggered a 6.3 magnitude seismic event.

Kardashian store held up by woman ranting about Cuba
In October 2016, Kim Kardashian West was held at gunpoint by men dressed as police officers in a hotel room in Paris. Investigators are examining security video of the incidents in an effort to identify the woman.

North Korea also launched two intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) in July that appeared to bring much of the United States mainland into range.

The US Geological Survey said it could not conclusively confirm whether the quake, which it measured at magnitude 3.5, was man-made or natural. The USGS measured this month's nuclear test at magnitude 6.3.

While the cause remains unknown, alternative explanations suggested by North Korea analysts include tunnel collapses at the testing site.

North Korea said its recent nuclear test was a detonation of a thermonuclear weapon built for its developmental intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Syrians documented the remains of the UAV sent to spy against Israel

Donald Trump has added economic action to his fiery military threats against North Korea and renewed his rhetorical offensive against Kim Jong Un, calling the reclusive leader "obviously a madman".

European Union ambassadors have reached an initial agreement to impose more economic sanctions on North Korea, going beyond the latest round of United Nations measures, officials and diplomats said.

South Korea calls North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's direct rebuke of President Donald Trump a "reckless provocation" that would deepen his country's global isolation and lead to its demise. At the United Nations, Trump called Kim "rocket man" and threatened to "totally destroy" North Korea.
