Nemanja Matic confident ahead of West Ham United clash

"I think we played everything so we don't lose this game". If Nathaniel Chalobah or Ruben Loftus-Cheek were still there they could get rid of Matic and play a younger kid. We are going to play in four competitions and we want to fight for all of them.

"United were crying out for a central midfielder with the qualities of Nemanja Matic".

He said:"Chelsea have broken up that partnership and strengthened their rivals".

Alexis Sanchez Out of Arsenal's EPL Opener Due to Abdominal Strain
Personally I think he is a hugely talented player, he's on the way up and he will continue to move up because the potential is there.

He has been heavily linked with Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and £48m-rated Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, as well as a number of full-backs, but United have been frustrated in their attempts ahead of the opening Premier League game of the season at home to West Ham on Sunday. Is Tiemoue Bakayoko, a £35million signing, a similar type of player to Matic? Will he gel alongside Kante?

Matic was frustrated with the result but has called on United to turn their full focus to Sunday's league opener against West Ham.

Jose Mourinho was in charge for the latter campaign and, despite securing Europa League, EFL Cup and Community Shield glory, along with Champions League qualification, knows they have to do better in the league.

Arsenal Offer Sanchez New £300000 A Week Deal
Leicester have won just one of their last eight Premier League games to start the season (4-2 over Sunderland in 2015, D4 L3). Sanchez, whose current deal expires in 2018, did not play in Arsenal's victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.

The 23-year-old struggled in stages of United's pre-season but Mourinho insists the Sweden worldwide will be given enough time to settle in at the club.

Chelsea's squad, or whatever's left of it by the time kick-off rolls around in a little over 48 hours, face a theoretically much weaker Burnley side at Stamford Bridge, but if there is one thing that Burnley won't do is make it easy for the boys in brand new Nike blue.

The Serbia worldwide played a key role in the Chelsea team that won the top-flight title with two games to spare in Antonio Conte's first season last term.

NAACP Condemns 'Unite the Right' Hate Rally in Charlottesville, Virginia
The incidents came hours after violent clashes between white nationalists and counter-protesters amid rising tensions in the city. According to AP, the individual suspected of being behind the wheel of the auto during the attack is in custody.

Matic made his competitive debut for United, in their 2-1 Super Cup defeat by Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
