Nats' Harper leaves game with apparent left knee injury

Giants GM says concussion DL is a consideration for Joe Panik

Nationals right fielder Bryce Harper slipped on the first base bag attempting to beat out a grounder, injuring his left knee in the bottom of the first inning of the game Saturday night against the Giants at Nationals Park. It still was raining when Harper's injury happened in a game that ended at 1:17 a.m. Sunday.

Harper flew in the air and appeared to be in agony as he hit the ground while clutching onto the front of his knee.

HBO offered $250K to hackers to buy time, leaked email says
An automated response was returned with an image of the HBO "bounty" offer, Reuters said. Variety earlier reported details about the $250,000 offer.

The game had been delayed due to heavy rains and it still was sprinkling when the game began.

Harper had to be carried off after not being able to put any weight on the leg. Major League Baseball, not the Nationals, decided if and when the game would be played because the Giants don't return to Washington this season. The big boppers in the middle of the order have stayed relatively healthy and the top four in the rotation have avoided major problems, though Stephen Strasburg is one of Washington's 11 players on the disabled list.
