Burnley Stun Nine-Man Chelsea At The Bridge

Burnley piled on the pressure on the hosts and had Coach Antonio Conte's heart in his mouth when Sam Vokes headed in the 19th minute.

Conte played down any sense of crisis or fear of a meltdown similar to 2015-16, insisting Chelsea would "find a solution".

When asked if Pawson got the big decisions right, Conte replied: "Mmm.I prefer to not comment on the referee's decision and performance".

The Premier League champions fell apart, after captain Gary Cahill was sent off for a lunge into Steven Defour in the first half.

After N'Golo Kante had seen a shot deflected onto the roof of the net in first-half stoppage time and Marcos Alonso had been denied by Tom Heaton, Willian began to haul Chelsea back into the contest.

The fallout over that Google diversity memo rages on
Ads criticizing Google over firing James Damore have been plastered on benches and bus stops near the company's office in Venice. The document slammed Google's "politically correct monoculture" and advanced gender stereotypes about women in the workplace.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has stated that his side's 3-2 Premier League win against Chelsea would have shocked the modest club's doubters.

"The sending-off made a difference and I thought we did really, really well to handle that and keep the ball and create chances", he said. Last year, then-champion Leicester lost at Hull 2-1 in its first match and its fortunes improved only after manager Claudio Ranieri was sacked.

With Eden Hazard, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Pedro Rodriguez injured and Victor Moses suspended, Chelsea had a threadbare match-day 18. "Big congratulations to all the people in Manchester City - we are a strong club".

The home side, under new manager Marco Silva, led twice through Stefano Okaka and Abdoulaye Doucoure but Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, with a penalty, both equalised.

"After that we lost our composure and conceded three goals", Conte said.

Arsenal Edge Leicester in 7-Goal Premier League Thriller
Shakespeare was true to his word and started Riyad Mahrez despite the Algeria global asking to leave the King Power Stadium. Craig Shakespeare had to watch his side blow two leads in the Premier League opener against Arsenal on Friday.

"But our first half we kept losing our heads - after the red card we lost our heads a bit, conceded three goals and then it's very hard to change the final result".

Record signing Alvaro Morata may have been able to come off the bench to briefly give Chelsea hope, but the remainder of Conte's subs looked rather uninspiring, such as Fikayo Tomori, Charly Musonda and Kyle Scott.

Huddersfield was English champion three years in a row from 1924.

Wayne Rooney marked his top-flight return to Everton after 13 years by scoring the victor against Stoke and his 199th goal in the Premier League.

He left Everton in 2004 as a precocious teenager.

Buhari President says Lai Mohammed is working very hard
The groups said members would walk to the Presidential Villa to present a position paper to Acting President Yemi Osinbanjo. He said there is tremendous improvement in his health and that he wishes to return home.

Southampton were held to a goalless draw by Swansea at St Mary's Stadium, as West Brom beat Bournemouth 1-nil. That was until Luiz sprinted onto Morata's pass and volleyed in to bring the nine men to within a goal of Burnley.
