Pro-Muslim rallies outnumber anti-Sharia protests

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the country's largest Muslim advocacy group, urged Americans to participate in one of several local educational events being organised in "a peaceful challenge to Saturday's hate rallies".

Demonstrators in Richardson marched at the corner of Abrams and Centennial, voicing their opinion that Sharia Law is incompatible with the constitution and American values.

The Orlando March Against Shariah demonstration was part of a nationwide effort organized by American Congress for Truth, better known as ACT for America.

ACT for America, described by the Southern Poverty Law Centre (SPLC) as the largest grassroots anti-Muslim group in the USA, called for Saturday's marches in at least 28 cities in more than 20 states.
