Golden State Warriors' Game 5 win wraps up highly-watched NBA Finals

Led by NBA Finals MVP and newcomer Kevin Durant, the NBA's latest "super team" proved to be too much for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In a tweet that amassed over 100,000 retweets, Smith called Durant's decision to play for GSW "weak".

The Warriors may be champions, but LeBron is still the King.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Stephen Curry tucked a celebratory cigar into his right sock for safekeeping as he handled all of his post-championship obligations. In subsequent years, the penalty is even harsher, a "repeater tax" to encourage teams to stay under the salary cap.

"Just the camaraderie, the togetherness, that's what it was about".

Durant was on the court for 40-plus minutes in the finale, most of the time staring down James. "It's about us.' But I'm still going to be me".

Kerr's team set an National Basketball Association record for regular-season wins with 73 last season and returned to the Finals, but lost to Cleveland in seven games. "He's had an unbelievable career, but he just took it to the next level", said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Who are NBA champions Golden State?
Rip Hamilton said he believes his 2004 Pistons could beat this Warriors team in a seven-game series. "Steve will be our coach". The Warriors played with joy, artistry and a superstar selflessness that is rare in modern professional sports.

Sometimes lost in all the chatter about a possible Warriors' dynasty is the fact that Golden State plays attractive, often unselfish team ball.

Overall, the Warriors are 207-39 during Kerr's tenure as coach.

Later, he was straightforward and serious: "We were heartbroken last year, but this year was our turn".

That pushed Golden State to add Durant as a free agent last July and the results have been devastating.

"Kevin's journey, our team embraced him". The only problem is that guys like LeBron, Durant, Kyrie and Steph don't show up every day.

"We're obviously just getting started", Curry said. It's not about who scored what. "And so I don't know as far as me personally right now".

Throughout these years it seemed that Durant wants a championship ring not because of himself, but as a gift to his mother and all the sacrifices that she made in order to provide a future for her son. If teams offer more money to try and pry those two away, the Warriors will likely let them walk.

Moon's impeached predecessor - Park Geun-hye, a more-hawkish conservative - had allowed the United States to deploy the systems. The Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that the soldier was being questioned about the reasons for his defection.

Owner Joe Lacob will be pulling out his pocketbook to potentially give Curry a $200 million deal.

Money and egos aside, the Warriors blended beautifully from the day Durant first walked into team headquarters.

"I ain't got nothin' to say", Durant said, trophy in hand. "There was never any question in my mind that this was going to work". We'll see lots of folks trying to keep up with the Joneses.

"We weren't supposed to be here", Kevin Durant said.

Durant was equally effusive in praise of Curry, saying they have grown closer as the season progressed.

Golden State went 67-15 this season in locking up the top seed in the Western Conference.

What we've built here is truly special, it's unique, it's something that you don't want to see end at all, " Curry said.
