Warriors coach Kerr returns for Game 2

The Warriors are now 14-0 in the postseason, but the coach warned against complacency after the Cavs surged back from 3-1 down to win last year's Finals between the two sides. Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant (35) celebrates with guard Stephen Curry (30) during the second half of Game 2 of basketball's NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Oakland, Calif., Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Curry provided Kerr more than a glimpse of his greatness from up close after the coach had been watching games from the locker room while speaking to his players beforehand and at halftime.

Game 3 goes Wednesday night at the Q back in Cleveland.

That's been quite evident through two games. An apparent no-show on the court before LeBron's off of it was from Kyrie Irving, who struggled to get anything going as he scored 19 points on an 8-for-23 night from the field.

Curry was upset by his eight turnovers as Cleveland vowed to put more pressure on the ball and keep Durant from driving and dunking untouched as he did so many times in Game 1.

Kevin Durant again led the team in scoring with 33 points, while pulling in 13 boards, six assists, three, steals and five blocks, and became the first player to ever put up those numbers in an National Basketball Association playoff game. It also matched Paul Pierce for most in a Finals quarter. But the Warriors warmed up from long-distance and Klay Thompson's triple gave them an 11-point edge. Moreover, the media should know that players tend to answer questions better when they're in a comfortable setting. So they won two games. "We get a chance to go home now to our home crowd where we play well also". And in this bizzaro world, an effort like that doesn't even make the Cavs competitive. The Cavaliers can try to convince themselves they have been here before.

The Celtics Won The Game
He knows that. "It's our job to make sure we defend him as best we can; take other guys out of the game". The main difference between Game 2 and Game 3 was Boston's willingness to compete.

Curry added: "We love his presence". And we're a full group when he's out here. "They're doing that and it's opening up Kev [Love] for the offensive rebound".

"We have to figure out a way to get him going early. I wouldn't be in this if I was thinking just one game".

Cavaliers star James, in his seventh consecutive NBA Finals, said being more physical "has always been something we talk about so we look forward to seeing what we can bring".

"There's an old saying, 'You don't miss the water 'til the well runs dry, '" the 80-year-old Attles said after receiving the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award.

The key one came late in the third quarter after Cleveland cut the deficit to four points.

This time though, they've come back armed with Kevin Durant who has taken their game to a whole new level and it's not just in the scoring department.

Former Penn State Leaders Sentenced To Prison For Molestation Scandal
Three former Penn State administrators will go to jail after being sentenced in connection with the Jerry Sandusky scandal . The officials denied that they were told at the time that the incident in the shower was overtly sexual.

When asked about it, James said he had a reason, and it wasn't about wins and losses.

What that meant was Golden State wasnt running free all night.

Durant followed up his 38-point outburst in Game 1 with a 33-point gem on Sunday - going 13-for-22 from the floor, including 4-of-8 from deep, to go with a team-high 13 boards, six assists, three steals and a game-high five blocks. This type of interview format doesn't help, as LeBron James skipping the podium reminded us.

Durant not only has been imposing his will offensively but he's been playing what might be the best defense on the team at this point.

But after being so close previous year and falling short, the Warriors know how hard the next two will be.
