India 'Committed To Paris Climate Agreement', Despite Donald Trump-led US Exit

U.S. President Trump departs after announcing his decision to withdraw from Paris Climate Agreement at White House in Washington

Trump also has expressed doubts about climate change, at times calling it a hoax to weaken US industry.

Mr Trump sparked global outrage when he announced that the United States would withdraw from the deal, which his predecessor's administration had made a priority and played a lead role in creating.

"In Berlin, Greenpeace activists projected Trump's silhouette onto the side of the US embassy along with the words "#TotalLoser, so sad!" The US president told North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies that they need to start paying a fairer share of the costs of the alliance, but that he no longer thinks North Atlantic Treaty Organisation is obsolete.

Brussels and Beijing believe in "the full implementation, without nuances, of the Paris climate agreement", Juncker said, and underlined that there can be "no backsliding".

European Commission president, Jean-Claude Juncker, said today: "With China, the EU will fight for its global vision, in which we work together to tackle the challenges we share".

At least two Republican governors announced Friday they were partnering with Democratic-run states to combat climate change after Trump's announcement sparked swift condemnation from academics, industry leaders and environmental experts.

"We don't want other countries laughing at us anymore and they won't", Trump declared.

Trump, tapping into the "America First" message he used when he was elected president a year ago, said the Paris accord would undermine the US economy, cost U.S.jobs, weaken American national sovereignty and put the country at a permanent disadvantage to the other countries of the world.

Trump has already moved to dismantle Obama-era climate change regulations, including the U.S. Clean Power Plan aimed at reducing emissions from main coal-fired power plants.

Poor countries are predicted to be among the hardest hit by global warming, with some foreseeing tens of millions of "climate refugees" in coming decades.

Philippine police say casino attacker was indebted gambler
The crazed gunman who torched a Philippine casino was a gambling addict wallowing in debt - not a terrorist, police said Sunday. The Chinese Embassy has maintained contact with local police and the attacked hotel since the incident happened early Friday.

"Instead of withdrawing from commitments it made through the Paris agreement and rolling back regulations to reduce carbon emissions, the USA should be taking even more aggressive action now to protect the health of our community's most vulnerable members-including our children, our seniors, people with chronic illnesses, and the poor-because our climate is already changing and people are already being harmed".

The U.S. decision also prompted irate reactions in Asia and Latin America. He has also advised the president on manufacturing jobs and infrastructure. "I hope that the number is zero", Ratas said.

Meanwhile, both India and China has made it clear that it will not pull out of the Paris Climate deal, despite United States exit.

User "atspetro" said Trump had become "like a clown... with no credibility".
